Due to lots of reports in the media, that the UK’s beloved hedgehogs were suffering from the extreme heat, the humans have decided after a little bit of research, to start feeding the garden spiky friends, to give them a helping hand on their way, and do something for the wildlife.
Firstly, we found a metal flower pot for water.
This was working – sort of.
What was tending to happen is the Hogs were putting their front feet up on it to drink, managing to take a drink, but then tipping the pot over!
Big human went to a local supermarket to buy us some food, after the research he’d done – it was either dog food or cat food – and he settled on cat food.
As part of this supermarket trip, he picked up a set of 4 plastic camping plates.
Plastic is a little bit evil in a lot of ways, but, these plates were re-usable, unlike the plastic coated paper ones, so somewhat better in the long run – he’s not intending to not use these plates for us hedgehogs for a short period – he’s committed to our cause now.
